ISC2’s passing grade is 700/1000, which does not mean 70% correct. This app uses its own illustrative ability scale with a 700 target. It cannot calculate an official CISSP score or predict whether you will pass.
The simulator uses 162 original applied scenarios checked against your study guide. Their authored relative challenge estimates are provisional and uncalibrated. Only multiple-choice items are simulated; ISC2 also uses advanced item types.
How this simulation works
A simple Rasch model updates a practice ability estimate after each scored answer. The next item targets that estimate within the domain most below its target share. A regularized estimate and approximate 95% interval drive stopping. These are our modeling choices, not ISC2’s proprietary algorithm.
